âI asked God, âHow do I get the best out of life?â God said, âFace your past without regrets. Handle your present with confidence, and prepare for the future without fear!ââ Look Back And Thank God. Look Forward And Trust God. Look Around And Serve God. Look Within And Find God!â âWithout God, our week is: Mournday, Tearsday, Waste day, Thirstday, Fight day, Shatterday and Sinday. So, allow Him to be with you everyday!â Life is short, so forgive quickly. Believe slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. Never regret anything that makes you happy.
I don't know the final name, but I'm calling app-metadata-get. It's purpose in life is to connect to a repository (it'll initially support YaST and Repo-MD repos, but the design will be generic enough for anyone to use), download all the packages, extract .desktop files from the packages and produce an sqlite database of the application metadata (name, icon, generic name, category, packagename). If anyone wants to help, shoot an email to me at jhaygood@reaktix.com.
While I like some of Apple's engineering's efforts (webkit.org mostly), some of their other creations suck.
The new Apple iPod Touch was released the other day. Apple apparently changed the database format of the on device media library to require some secret cryptography so that it only works with Apple iTunes, preventing other players (such as Banshee) from properly working with the iPod. I don't personally own an iPod for many reasons, and this is just another reason to boycott the Apple iPod.

Worms Armageddon is an excellent game where you basically take turns attempting to kill the members of the opposing teams using humorous weapons, both real and imagined. And everyone is a worm!
Available on Gametap.

So, today is the opening day for Fan Expo 2007, so I get a day off from work, and a day to have fun. We would be going in at 2 PM, but sadly, the friend of Andy's that came did not buy a ticket in advance, so we have to go in at 4 PM :(.
Adios anyways!
