Cajun country is getting hit by yet another hurricane. It's expected to cause at least as much physical damage as Katrina. but no where near the amount of damage in lives. New Orleans has had 95% of its population evacuated, quite impressive.
I wish the people of the Gulf Coast the best of luck in this act of God and the fury of nature that will be unleashed on to you soon.

So, at work, we had an internal application written in ColdFusion (a Java-based scripting language). It took a few hours, and several hundred megabytes of memory to run. Same app in .NET takes about 10 minutes, and only 40 MB of RAM!
.NET rules!
Russia is making a big mistake in not honoring its agreement to leave the Republic of Georgia. They should leave the country under Georgian control. Occupy South Ossetia all you want, but don't dispreect the territorial integrity of another soverign nation that is WANTED by its people.
Please stop being a waste of oxygen on this planet, and jump off a cliff, lie down on the train tracks, or something.
How do you get the URL or path to an item returned that isn't truncated to 64 characters? No matter what I do, I either get a result that is formatted odd and isn't 100% valid, or one that is 100% correct, but is truncated to 64 characters.

For all the Canadians out there I know.. Happy Canada Day from lovely Atlanta, Georgia
Got a stuck trackball on your Blackberry Pearl, Blackberry Curve, or Blackberry 8800? Try cleaning it!
- Using a thin plastic screwdriver blade (the ones in those little kits), pop off the silver cover around it
- Take out the whole trackball assembly
- Get a glass out of the kitchen
- Put a few drops of dishwater detergent in it
- Fill to brim with HOT water
- Drop trackball assembly in it
- Swirl cup around until your almost out of water
- Fill cup back up with hot water and keep rinsing
- Drain glass, remember to not let the assembly go down the drain!
- Dry the assembly. You should be able to air dry it or dry it by hand, but if your really anal, use compressed air or a hair dryer
- Place dried assembly back into Blackberry
- Replace cover
- Enjoy your non-stuck trackball!
